The Seahorse Trust

We’re really excited to have teamed up with The Seahorse Trust to help raise awareness of the important work they do and generate funds to support them.

The Seahorse Trust was set up in 1999 as an umbrella organisation to preserve and conserve the natural world, especially the marine environment, using seahorses as their flagship species. The charity works with people, organisations and governments around the world, focusing on the conservation of seahorses and the preservation of their natural habitats.

Seahorses tend to live in coastal areas and unfortunately many of these areas are under threat, being vulnerable to human and natural interference. The Trust strives to protect these fragile eco-systems through education, conservation and lobbying activity.

Sea Arch Drinks is based by the coast in Devon and we are passionate about protecting our natural world, which is why The Seahorse Trust’s work really resonates with us. All of our packaging is plastic-free as well as being recyclable or compostable, even the paint on our bottles is solvent-free. This is all part of a promise we have made to ensure that our brand has the lowest possible impact on the environment.

Like us, The Seahorse Trust is based in Devon, which makes us feel even more proud to support the valuable work they’re doing. One of their study sites is located very near to the natural sea arch in Torbay that was the inspiration for our brand name, with both British seahorse species found living there, as well as elsewhere around the Devon and UK coastlines.

As part of this new partnership, we’re becoming a member of the Trust and will be donating funds to support their initiatives, as well as offering our customers the opportunity to donate to this very worthy cause. Keep an eye on our social media pages for further information about seahorses, The Seahorse Trust, and how you can get involved.
